In June 2025, the MoorGrünFE project was presented at two major conferences, underlining its relevance for peatland research and environmental monitoring.
At the Living Planet Symposium in Vienna (23–27 June), the focus of our contribution was on hydrological dynamics in peatlands, and the project’s use of multisource remote sensing data to track these changes.

A week later, MoorGrünFE was showcased at AGIT 2025 in Salzburg (2–5 July), with an emphasis on UAV and satellite remote sensing for biodiversity and soil organic carbon (SOC) assessment . The presentation explored how geospatial tools are applied to assess vegetation patterns and monitor changes in SOC across different management regimes.
